CodLab / Service information
Start with your CodLab workspace
Sign in with CodHub or Cloudburg, create a free workspace, and use three free upload reviews per UTC calendar month.
Published:
1. Sign in to CodLab
Use CodHub or Cloudburg for identity sign-in. Choose the provider you originally used to reopen a saved workspace; accounts are not automatically linked by email or name. Cloudburg sign-in does not connect CodHub repositories. Repository tools need the owning CodHub identity and a separate authorization.
2. Create your free workspace
Read the Privacy notice, Terms and upload scope. Choose a workspace name and accept the displayed terms only if you agree. The initial workspace has one owner. Creating it starts no subscription and authorizes no charge.
3. Select files and use your free allowance
Choose authorized JavaScript/TypeScript files within the displayed limits. Each free workspace has three completed reviews per UTC calendar month, resetting at 00:00 UTC on the first day; unused allowance does not roll over. No card is required. New paid purchases remain paused.
What the upload review covers
Up to 40 selected JavaScript/TypeScript files, 32 KiB and 1,000 lines per file, 512 KiB total. Native static checks report supported source operations, import relationships and coverage limits. Code is not executed or sent to an AI provider. The service does not publish fixes or provide team seats.
Saved reports omit source excerpts, are available for seven days and can be deleted sooner. A completed report counts once, including partial coverage, no findings or files that could not be parsed. In-progress reviews reserve allowance; failed processing releases it. Deleting or expiring a report does not restore usage. Active paid upload access has no monthly completed-review cap, with up to three reviews processing simultaneously, and takes precedence over the free allowance, and upgrading or cancelling does not reset spent free reviews. Paths and import names can contain identifying information. Read the Privacy notice before sharing files.
4. Inspect your saved reports
Open Analytics and Scans to summarize recent retained upload reports and inspect native findings and coverage limits. The summary uses at most 20 completed reports and identifies truncated, partial or unavailable data. It does not run a new review or consume another allowance. An absence of findings is not a security guarantee.
Understand a finding, decide and keep your work
Open a retained upload report in the full dashboard. Review shows the findings; Triage organizes decisions; Explain presents the evidence; Secure shows supported security checks; Engineer leads to a manual repair plan. One selected finding connects the five views.
When saved-work controls are enabled in your workspace, you can record investigation or dismissal with a reason, keep a practical plan and add your own check outcomes and evidence links. History shows who changed what and when. Conflicting edits are identified, and decisions can be reopened.
Decisions and plans follow the report’s seven-day retention and are removed with its content. Dismissal and customer-reported completion do not verify a repair. No code or tests run in this workflow. The investigation map uses retained static references; missing relationships and partial inspection remain visible. Opening and saving work does not spend another review.
Professional Handoff · Available
Select retained findings in the workspace, preview the exact saved snapshot and download Markdown, JSON or print-ready HTML. Notes, dismissal reasons, dismissed findings and history default to excluded; proposed checks, outcomes and plan attribution can still appear. Inspect the preview before sharing. No code or tests run and no new review is spent. Changes to saved work can invalidate the preview.
Optional: connect CodHub repository metadata
Open Repositories in your dashboard and optionally authorize the separate CodHub read connection. It verifies your CodHub profile, shows a bounded inventory of repositories you can access and saves the immutable repository IDs you select for your workspace. This first release provides metadata only; it does not read or synchronize repository source, create webhooks, publish PR reviews or change files.
The provider grant covers all repositories your CodHub account can access, including private repositories. Your selection limits subsequent operational reads in CodLab; it does not narrow the grant at CodHub. Read the optional repository connection notice before authorizing.
The dashboard shows the expiry time. Reconnect after expiry and select your repositories again. Disconnect removes the saved connection in CodLab while preserving your sign-in and workspace. Also revoke the separate application in CodHub Settings → Applications if you want to withdraw the provider grant.
Repository automation · Not yet available
The optional metadata connection and upload reviews do not synchronize repository source, automatically review new pull requests or publish fixes. These functions are not available yet.
